Woman, Son Rescued from Glacier Park Creek

first_imgGlacier National Park officials say tourists rescued an 8-year-old boy and his mother after they fell into Upper McDonald Creek.Park spokeswoman Denise Germann says the family was walking near the creek Wednesday morning when the boy fell in the water. His mother jumped in after the child and both floated for a distance downstream.Germann did not identify the victims. The woman’s husband, who also declined to be identified, said that he and other tourists nearby jumped in and pulled them out of the water.Germann says the woman was unconscious and not breathing, but she was revived after bystanders performed CPR and treated her for hypothermia.The woman was transported to a Kalispell hospital, where she was in stable condition on Thursday.
